Summer 2014 Special Services to beaches, shops and night spots

Between 23th June and 7th September, head to the beach, go shopping or enjoy a night on the town on public transport. As in previous years, the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium is offering a special Summer Service. This includes new inter-urban bus routes and increased frequency of existing bus services, enabling passengers to take public transport to beaches, shopping centres and night spots and thus avoid the problems associated with the use of private vehicles (traffic jams, parking, fines, etc.). The Summer Service will be available between 23th June and 7th September 2014 to bus users in Alhaurin de la Torre, Alora, Almogia, Cartama, Casabermeja, Colmenar, Malaga, Mijas, Pizarra and Totalan. Consorcio Malaga: Our new free app for consulting services and timetables

The new Malaga Consortium application offers Android users instant access to the timetables of over 70 transport services belonging to the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium, including estimated times of arrival in the main towns and villages in our area, without any data charges. In addition, to encourage passengers to use intermodal public transport, timetables for the two suburban train lines operated by Renfe in the Malaga area will be available via our app. And if you have a data plan, you will also be able to consult route maps for all our services indicating the location of stops as well as sale points where the Travel Card may be purchased and topped up. New services from Muelle Heredia Bus Terminus to El Sexmo and Cártama

As of 13th April, the routes of the direct services from Malaga to Cartama and El Sexmo will be extended to include the terminus at Muelle Heredia. The Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium informs passengers that the proposed extension of the routes of services M-131, M-146 and M-147 to Muelle Heredia Bus Terminus, along with the introduction of a new Malaga - El Sexmo – Cartama service (M-148), will be approved at a meeting of its executive committee on 10th April, with the changes coming into effect as of 13th April. Extended hours in M-128 route

From April 10 we increase supply in the route from Malaga Airport to Torremolinos and Benalmadena Costa. Holy Week and good weather attracts many tourists to Costa del Sol. The Malaga Transport Consortium includes two new complete expeditions on the route M-128 Airport - Torremolinos - Benalmádena Costa, which connects the airport with main hotels in Torremolinos and Benalmadena Costa, and has recently increased its way to the Holidayworld Resort. The Consortium travel card is now valid for malagabici

This bicycle loan system is available in Malaga as of 4th March 2014. Thanks to a collaborative agreement between the Transport Consortium and the Empresa Malagueña de Transportes, our travel card can now be used with malagabici, a loan scheme enabling EMT travel card holders to get around the city by bike. Now, holders of the Consortium's own travel card can also enjoy all of the benefits of this service, which is provided by Malaga City Council through CEMUSA (the company responsible for street furniture) and EMT itself. Users can register for this service, which is free for the first year, at the Consortium's offices, though topping up and subscription cancellation must be carried out at EMT's customer service department.
