From January, 7th, Málaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium’s Headquarters (11, Alameda Principal Street) will be open on Monday and Thursday afternoon (so far, on Tuesday and Thursday). Customer Service and Reception business hours are from 16:00 to 18:00 p.m. Opening hours in the mornings won't change, and remain on Monday to Friday, from 09:00 a.m to 14:00 p.m. Further information can be consulted on our new mobile app Consorcio Malaga (available now for Android and iOS), on the Consortium’s web, on its official Facebook,  Twitter, Google+ and  YouTube  page, or by calling the customer service line on (+34) 902 450 550 / 955 038 665.

The Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium has reduced its fares. From January, 1st, 2016 the price paid by customers using the Consortium Transport Card has been reduced, as approved by the Board of Directors, concluded on December, 15th, 2015. Thus, the fare for a Card Transport set to zero (0) fare zones goes from 0.94 to 0.93 euros, for one (1) fare zones, from 1.08 to 1.07 euros, for two (2) fare zones 1.47 to 1.43 euros and for three (3) fare zones from 2.42 to 2.36 euros. For every Chistmas night, the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium offers you a safer, cheaper, and more comfortable alternative. Daily, from December, 18th to January, 5th, night bus route M-168 Rincon de la Victoria - Malaga (Búho) will be available, so you won't have an indigestible dinner with jams, fines or alcohol tests. No dinner would stand, with departures from Rincón de la Victoria at 0:45, 1:15, 2:15 and 4:15, and from Málaga at 00:30, 1:30 and 3:30. During Contitution Bank Holiday's nights, you can travel on Búho (Owl). From December, 4th to 7th, will be available the night service M-168 Rincón de la Victoria - Malaga (Búho). Enjoy shopping, having dinner, drinking and dancing, by using public transport, in a safe, comfortable and cheap way, and forget about your car, parking, fines and alcohol tests. There are bus departures from Malaga (Estación Muelle Heredia) at 00:30, 1:30 and 3:30, and departures from Rincon de la Victoria (Rincón Sol) at 00:45, 1:15, 2:15 and 04: 15. The pedestrianisation of Torremolinos Centre will soon become a reality, on Saturday, November 28th. From Friday, November, 27th midnight, access to Calle Hoyo, Plaza Costa del Sol and Calle de la Cruz will be closed to vehicular traffic, so all vehicles (private and public transport ones) will be diverted to an alternative route. Bus routes towards Benalmádena will be diverted from Calle Hoyo and Calle Campillos cross to Calle Río Aranda, turning on Calle Rio Bergantes to Avenida de los Manantiales, where, through Calle Isabel Manoja, will connect with Avenida Palma de Mallorca, continuing their current route. The imminent arrival of the building works of MetroMálaga through the city center is making some changes on the traffic sense. Many streets have been redirected to permeate flow of vehicles, for allowing the traffic between the east and west of the city even when Alameda Principal was partially closed to road. Therefore, departure of route M-253 Malaga-Casabermeja-Antequera departing from Malaga Bus Station at 14:00 and stopping at "Tribuna de los Pobres", is suffering delays in its route to Casabermeja . Delay in traveling time is estimated at 15 minutes, so, the arrival at Casabermeja is delayed from 14:30 to 14:45. Requested by the Council of Colmenar, the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium will include a new bus stop "IES Rosaleda", from Monday, November, 23rd, as part of the bus route M-251 Malaga - Casabermeja - Colmenar. The new bus stop is located in Avenida de Luis Buñuel in Málaga, and will take place in both directions of traffic, sharing the EMT shelters. Destination to Colmenar, it will be located in front of the Comprehensive School "I.E.S. La Rosaleda", and on the way to Malaga it will be located near the entrance of the hall of residence "Residencia de Estudiantes La Rosaleda".
