Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium inform you that, due to closing of Caminito del Rey for an indeterminated period, bus route M-347 Caminito del Rey/El Chorro - El Kiosko will be out of service from march, 28th till next reopening of Caminito del Rey. We will warn you about Caminito del Rey reopening date, which means bus route will also come into service. Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium presents the new bus route from Monday, March, 21st M-119 Calahonda - Fuengirola, a new intercity bus route through the neighborhoods of Calahonda, Pueblo Andaluz and Miraflores, linking directly with La Cala de Mijas and Fuengirola. This bus route was requested by the City of Mijas, and it will service these neighborhoods that nowadays dont currently have any public transport. Important deals on its itinerary as the Community Health Centre of La Cala de Mijas, The Local Government of La Cala de Mijas, Calahonda's Overlook and Miraflores Golf Club, plus several commercial areas are included. The City of Benalmádena and Resort Holiday World will organize the Carrera Litoral Holiday World, a charity race to raise funds on behalf of Proyecto Hombre. The organization thinks in everyone; so, there will be a 5km race designed for children or to cross it on foot, and another 8.6 km one for those who are released to run. Both races will begin and end its itinerary in Rotonda de los Elefantes (bus stop Holiday World), and will take Avenida Costa del Sol towards Málaga until restaurant El Embarcadero (5km race) and Sunset Beach Club circus (8.6 km race) to return to the starting point and complete the course. The Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport will make slight modifications in the timetable of the bus route M-251 Málaga - Casabermeja - Colmenar, which will start to be effective on February, 22nd. The changes, just in some departure times from Monday to Friday, will adjust the route schedules with its real timetables, with some errors after the incorporation of new bus stops. From February, 22nd, Monday to Friday departure from Málaga Bus Station at 18:00 will be at 17:45, and departure at 20:00 will be at 20:15. Also, bus from Colmenar at  19:15 will take place at 19:30. Alhaurin de la Torre City Coincil and Deportivo Alpino Jarapalos organize 3rd Ciudad de Alhaurín de la Torre Half Marathon and Popular Race, which will take place on Sunday January 17th from 10:00 hours. Departure and finishing line will be both located on Avenida El Limon, next to the Municipal Sports Centre. The layout of half marathon spans 21.08 kilometers, going till Casas Blancas, returning by the same road to Calle ÁLamos and Calle Juan Carlos I to continue along Paseo del Comendador to Carretera Lauro Golf , turn on  A-404 road until arriving at the finishing line. From January, 7th, Málaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium’s Headquarters (11, Alameda Principal Street) will be open on Monday and Thursday afternoon (so far, on Tuesday and Thursday). The Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium has reduced its fares. From January, 1st, 2016 the price paid by customers using the Consortium Transport Card has been reduced, as approved by the Board of Directors, concluded on December, 15th, 2015. Thus, the fare for a Card Transport set to zero (0) fare zones goes from 0.94 to 0.93 euros, for one (1) fare zones, from 1.08 to 1.07 euros, for two (2) fare zones 1.47 to 1.43 euros and for three (3) fare zones from 2.42 to 2.36 euros.
