Due to the great reception given to this service in recent years, from May, 1st, to October, 30th, customers from Cártama and Alhaurin de la Torre could access to Los Alamos beach by public transport, with the enlargement of bus route M-136 Cartama-Alhaurin de la Torre-Plaza Mayor-Los Alamos. After the approval of a new management model, Caminito del Rey will be resumed on April, 22nd. Thus, Málaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium will return the service to the bus route M-347 Caminito del Rey / El Chorro - El Kiosko, a shuttle that connects the two access points to the natural setting, the Northern access (bus stop El Kiosko, in Ardales) and the Southern access (bus stop Caminito del Rey/El Chorro, in Álora). From April, 21st, Cártama Pueblo will have a new bus stop, "Cementerio", located on the road from Cártama to Alhaurín el Grande, nearby Cártama's Cementery and Elementary School La Mata. In order to ensure the safety of passengers, this bus stop will be operative on only one side of the road. Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium presents the new bus route from Monday, March, 21st M-119 Calahonda - Fuengirola, a new intercity bus route through the neighborhoods of Calahonda, Pueblo Andaluz and Miraflores, linking directly with La Cala de Mijas and Fuengirola. This bus route was requested by the City of Mijas, and it will service these neighborhoods that nowadays dont currently have any public transport. The City of Benalmádena and Resort Holiday World will organize the Carrera Litoral Holiday World, a charity race to raise funds on behalf of Proyecto Hombre. The organization thinks in everyone; so, there will be a 5km race designed for children or to cross it on foot, and another 8.6 km one for those who are released to run. The Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport will make slight modifications in the timetable of the bus route M-251 Málaga - Casabermeja - Colmenar, which will start to be effective on February, 22nd. The changes, just in some departure times from Monday to Friday, will adjust the route schedules with its real timetables, with some errors after the incorporation of new bus stops. Alhaurin de la Torre City Coincil and Deportivo Alpino Jarapalos organize 3rd Ciudad de Alhaurín de la Torre Half Marathon and Popular Race, which will take place on Sunday January 17th from 10:00 hours. Departure and finishing line will be both located on Avenida El Limon, next to the Municipal Sports Centre.
