We recommend applying for your card with the Consortia whose metropolitan area you’ll use public transport in most frequently. This makes it easier to resolve any issues and allows you to use specific services of that Consortia that might not be available or active for cards from other Consortia.
Keep in mind that the sales points of a specific Consortia can only replace cards issued by that same Consortia. Also, the initial activation of your card can only be done at sales points within the Consortia where you applied for it. For example, if you applied for your card with the Consorcio de Sevilla, you can only activate it within the Consorcio de Sevilla’s network of sales points. However, subsequent free top-ups can be done at any other Consortia.
