UPDATE. Possible effects on several Málaga Area Metropolitan Transport intercity bus routes due to La Vuelta 2018 on August, 25th and 27th

La Vuelta 2018 begins in Costa del Sol and for three weeks it will travel throughout Spain. This year, the Vuelta starts on August, 25th in a Individual time-trial in Málaga, and during the following days will pass through the roads of Metropolitan Area of Malaga. Specifically, The the 23rd stage (Monday, 27th) between Mijas and Alhaurín de la Torre.

Looking for the security of cyclists, during the 1st stage (Saturday, 25th) in Málaga, will be some road closures during long time, so, bus routes to/from Rincón de la Victoria will go through the higway till La Araña, and intermediate bus stops between Málaga Bus Station / Muelle Heredia and La Araña (Parque San Antonio, Baños del Carmen, Las Acacias, El Palo, El Tintero II, Entrada Candado and Gasolinera Candado) will be out of service.

Following bus routes will be affected:

On Monday, 27th, 3rd stage between Mijas and Alhaurin de la Torre, crossing other towns as Benalmádena, Torremolinos and Alhaurin el Grande. This day will be several road closures and out-of-service bus stops during the passage of the bunch, with important affections on some Málaga Area Metropolitan Transport intercity bus routes.
