No additional application is needed. If you already have the Youth Card (Tarjeta Joven) and meet the requirements, you'll automatically get the benefit starting July 1, 2025.
Children up to and including fourteen years of age are eligible for free public transport. This applies to those with Spanish or foreign nationality who are legal residents in Spain, and who were born between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2025.
The Free Child Pass (Bono Gratuito Infantil) is a transport ticket funded by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility. It allows children under 15 years old to use public transport services affiliated with the Metropolitan Transport Consortia of Andalusia for free, from July 1st to December 31st, 2025. The free travel for children is applied as a bonus at points of sale (tobacconists, kiosks, etc.), meaning you'll get free credit loaded onto your card. When you use the transport services, the usual fare will be deducted from your card.
