The City Council of Mijas, in collaboration with the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium, will start the new intercity bus route M-156 Las Lagunas-Centro Comercial-Cerros del Águila. This new bus route, which will come into service next Monday, July, 10th, will stop at Rotonda de Las Lagunas, Centro Comercial Miramar Fuengirola (Shopping Center), Cementerio de San Cayetano (Cemetery), Hipódromo, Cerrado del Águila Golf and Cerros del Águila. This Friday will be able new services and expeditions in the urban bus routes of Benalmádena. From June, 23rd to September, 10th, bus route M-103 Urbano de Benalmádena. Estupa-Nueva Torrequebrada reinforces its service to cover the increase of public transport demand during summer. As in previous years, the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium is offering a Special Summer Service. This includes new inter-urban bus routes and increased frequency of existing bus services, enabling passengers to take public transport to beaches, shopping centres and night spots and thus avoid the problems associated with the use of private vehicles (traffic jams, parking, fines, etc.).
