Summer 2018 Special Services to beaches, shops and night spots

Between June, 22nd and September, 9th, head to the beach, go shopping or enjoy a night on the town on public transport. As in previous years, the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium is offering a Special Summer Service. This includes new inter-urban bus routes and increased frequency of existing bus services, enabling passengers to take public transport to beaches, shopping centres and night spots and thus avoid the problems associated with the use of private vehicles (traffic jams, parking, fines, etc.). The Summer Service will be available between June, 22nd and September, 9th, 2018 to bus users in Alhaurin de la Torre, Alora, Almogia, Cartama, Casabermeja, Colmenar, Malaga, Mijas, Pizarra and Totalan. New updated Consorcio Malaga app for iOS

From May, 31st, users of Apple mobile devices have an updated Consorcio Malaga app. The new 4.1.10 version has a new interface completely adapted to all Apple devices. Users are allowed to configure it, with a faster access to information; that functionality was already improved for Android users in previous updates. Some small errors detected by our users have been solved for this new version. San Isibro Labrador Fair will affect some bus routes stopping at Cártama Estación this weekend

Cártama Estación will live some great days during San Isidro Labrador Fair, which will take place from May,11th to 15th. The fair activities will affect traffic on some roads and streets, and thus on several Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium bus routes. On Saturday, May, 12th due to San Isidro Labrador procession, will be no traffic on Avenida de Andalucía, at the height of Carmen Juanola and Iglesia streets. This issue will take place at 20:00 pm (approx.) and last about 45 minutes. This could affect to bus route M-131 Málaga-Cártama, departing from Malaga to 19:15, and from Ampliación de Cártama at 20:40. In that case, the route would link directly from Cártama Pueblo through Guadalhorce highway, avoiding Cártama Estación. [...]

VI Triathlon Benalmádena on Sunday, May, 13th, will affect several bus routes

On Sunday, May, 13th will take place the VI Triathlon Benalmádena, with 750 meter swimming, 20 km on bike and 5 km running. It will start at 10:00 with the swimming event leaving from Malapesquera beach and arriving at Club Nautico Maritimo Benalmadena. Then, cycling event with four laps through a circuit including San Juan Sebastian Elcano, Avenida Alay, Avda. Antonio Machado until Rotonda de los Molinillos, and Avenida García Lorca till the Club de Hielo roundabout, and back. Finally, foot race with two laps of a circuit across Puerto Marina's dockage area and seafront. Special bus services due to Cártama Fair 2018, from April, 20th to 25th

From April, 20th to 25th the town of Cártama celebrates its 2018 Fair. The main activities will take place in the Fairground, located next to Ciudad Deportiva. Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium will put into service the new special bus route M-403 Cártama Pueblo-Feria de Cártama-Cártama Estación. This circular route will speed up the access and exit of the fairgrounds from Cartama Pueblo and Cártama Estación until dawn, so users can forget about car and concerns it entails (parking, fines, alcohol consumption, etc). On April, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd the service extends from 9:45 pm (from Cártama Pueblo) to 03:45 hours. On Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th, the time will be from 21:45 to 01:15 hours. New timetable for bus route M-220 Fuengirola-Marbella from March, 23rd

The Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium informs that from March, 23rd, bus route M-220 Fuengirola-Las Lagunas-Marbella will modify its saturday timetable, which will be the same as a Monday to Friday working day. The 1st stage of Vuelta Ciclista a Andalucía on February, 14th may affect several interurban bus routes

Vuelta Ciclista a Andalucía Ruta del Sol 2018 starts its 64th edition, with a first stage of 197.6 kilometers with departure in Mijas and arrival in Granada. REVISION. Works deferred to February, 15th. Traffic interrumption on Avenida de las Palmeras will affect Benalmádena urban bus route

REVISION. Works deferred to February, 15th. Benalmádena City Hall inform us that, the replacement of several streetlights planned on Avenida de las Palmeras on February, 8th, will interrupt the road traffic. Those works will be carried out from 08:00 to 10:30, with traffic restricted from  Calle las Yucas street crossing. These works of replacement of elements of urban furniture will modify provisionally the itinerary of bus route M-103 Urban of Benalmádena. Line 1 Stupa-Nueva Torrequebrada, and bus stops Avenida Las Palmeras and Pueblo Evita will be out of service.
